What You'll Do

As the Sr Buyer, you will negotiate contracts, improve prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practices. You will act as an agent on behalf of procurement to implement solutions and processes as developed by the centralized procurement group. Other duties include:

• Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety.
• Ensure compliance with the applicable Company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance standards, objectives and regulations.
• Live and foster the IPL Corporate Value.
• Manage effective transaction processes for all categories of spend in line with the Company's Procurement Policy and Procedures.
• Ensure compliance to the Company's Proprietary Information processes with regards to vendor Non-Disclosure Agreements and technical data transmittals of a drawing / specification.Including enforcement by other departments.
• Manage compliance and governance in Procurement in line with internal and external audit requirements.
• Drive customer satisfaction through consistent delivery execution, ensuring a cross-functional approach that engages all stakeholders within the DNA (Dyno Nobel Americas) Value Chain.
• Supports and processes intra-company Purchase Orders with raw material vendors not willing to do business with non-USA facilities
• Responsible for SAP data accuracy as it relates to vendor and material details (contact, address, payment method and terms, price, drawing reference, etc).
• Actively participate as a Project Matrix team member in the successful implementation of the needs and requirements relative to a specific material, commodity, or project.
• Provide vendors with long range forecast data (1 - 2 years).

What We're Looking For:

• Associates or Bachelors degree in supply chain or similar field preferred.
• This is a remote position with some travel to our manufacturing site in Louisiana, MO
• 5 years of experience in procurement in a manufacturing environment, including the daily use of SAP.
• 5 years of experience in contract negotiations and supply management in a manufacturing organization.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix reporting environment.
